  1. Christmas for Kids donations will cover $150.00 of the student’s purchase – there is no sales tax. Keep a tally of what is purchased. If the total goes over, please be willing to cover the difference. If the total is under $150, try to find additional items for the student to purchase.

  2. Our hope is to provide Christmas for these deserving students. This will include both the needs and wants of the student. Some students may want to purchase an item or two for others, which is allowed.

  3. Students may ask to purchase a gift card – Guidelines for gift cards are:

    1. A maximum of $50 may be spent on gift cards

    2. Gift cards may only be used for restaurants and gaming (Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation, etc.)

    3. NO purchases of Walmart gift cards or cash gift cards of any kind (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

  4. The purchase of a weapon of any kind is strictly forbidden.

  5. Be respectful of the student and keep confidential anything they share with you.  In compliance with Jordan School District policy, please do not exchange contact information with your student shopper.

  6. Red lanyards mean there IS NOT permission for media to photograph or interview the student. Green lanyards mean Jordan School District and Jordan Education Foundation have media permission for photos and student interviews (for district and foundation purposes only.)

  7. Photos may be taken together at the student’s request.  Never post photos on a public forum of any kind.

  8. Stay with students throughout the entire shopping experience. If at any time you need to separate (to use the bathroom for example), make a plan to meet up immediately afterward.

  9. Please get in line at one of the four marked checkout lines. If you have any questions find a line general near the front of the lines.

  10. After purchases are made, please have students check out with Jordan School District employees. Please write your full name on the back of your student’s name tag and hand it to a JSD employee at the checkout line. You do not have to stay until your student leaves. District employees will help them call for a ride. DO NOT transport students.

Thank you for volunteering!

Without you, this event wouldn’t be possible.
