Walmart Superstore

3590 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT  84095

Students will shop during one of four start times (8am, 8:30 am, 9am, & 9:30 am)
Chaperones may choose which time they can shop with students, although there will be limited availability in each time slot.  
Please arrive five minutes prior to your designated start time.

Chaperone Instructions

**ALL CHAPERONES MUST BE REGISTERED PRIOR TO THE EVENT.  WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ANY SAME DAY ADD-ON CHAPERONES.

**CHAPERONES MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND NOT CURRENTLY REGISTERED AS A STUDENT

 

 

  1. Christmas for Kids donations will cover $150.00 of the students purchase – there is no sales tax. Keep a tally of what is purchased.  If the total goes over, please be willing to cover the difference. If the total is under $150, try to find additional items for the student to purchase. 

  2. Our hope is to provide Christmas for these deserving students. This will include both the needs and the wants of the student. 

  3. While we encourage the majority of these funds to be spent on the student, we understand that some students my want to purchase an item or two for others in their family, which is acceptable. 

  4. If a student asks how they were selected for this, please tell them they were selected because they are a deserving student and people care about them. 

  5. Be respectful of the student and keep confidential anything they share with you. In compliance with Jordan District Policy, please do not exchange contact information with your student shopper. 

  6. Green student nametags mean we have media permission for filming and student interviews. Red nametags mean we do not have media permission for the student. It may be that your student asks to take a personal photo with you at some time during the shopping experience; This may only be done on the student's phone and only at the student's request. Never take a personal photo with your student or post photos in a public forum or on social media of any kind.  

  7. Stay with students throughout the entire shopping experience. If at any time you need to separate (to use the bathroom, for example), make a plan to meet up immediately afterward.

  8. After purchases are made, please have students check out with Jordan School District employees at the South doors.  You do not have to stay until your student leaves Walmart. District employees will help them call for a ride. DO NOT transport students.

  9. Please dress appropriately for this event and remember to connect with your student!
